On GLAMOUR Tries this week, Commerce Writer Sophie Cockett tried Skin Proud's Frozen Over Gel-To-Ice Hydrator - a formula which is enriched with super-hydrating hyaluronic acid and can be used at room temperature for an instant burst of moisture, or applied straight from the freezer for to combat tired, dull or puffy skin.
Skin Proud Frozen Over Gel-To-Ice Hydrator, £16.95, Boots
“I'm excited, this is one of the coolest new moisturiser releases that we've seen in a really long time. It's had 1.9 million views on TikTok and sold out on Boots.com last week as a result, and it's USP is that you can either use it as a gel - as it comes - or you can pop it in the freezer for three hours and use it in it's frozen state on your face.” Sophie says.
“The Frozen Over Gel-To-Ice Hydrator is meant to reduce any puffiness, increase circulation and just generally make you look less tired which, at seven o'clock in the morning, I could definitely do with! It's also got tons of good-for-skin ingredients in it; it's got aloe vera which is a natural anti-inflammatory, lemon which helps with brightness and pigmentation, and it also has hyaluronic acid in it which is essentially just a giant glass of water for your skin.” She says. Sophie decides to use the product frozen, so takes it out of her freezer before applying.
“It's really cool, it's all frozen over. It's freezing - obviously - but it feels so nice and instantly refreshing.” Sophie then applies her makeup for the day to see how it sits on her skin. “It's a really, really nice base for foundation. I wouldn't usually use this during the day as it doesn't have SPF in it, but to use in the evening as a nice little self-care moment to de-puff your skin it's super hydrating. I'm a fan.”
